Israel Tax Authority Launches 7% Tax Break for 64 Judea-Samaria Towns
Retroactive relief to take effect next month, applying back to January
Israel's Tax Authority announced the activation of a 7% tax benefit for residents of 64 communities in Judea and Samaria. The benefit will formally take effect next month but will apply retroactively from January of this year. Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich linked the move to a broader policy of encouraging internal migration to the region. The chairman of the Yesha Council said the organization would continue pushing to extend the benefit to additional communities.
What this means for land buyers
For those already living in or considering purchasing land in one of the eligible communities, this represents a tangible tax reduction that could affect relocation decisions. It is advisable to check whether the specific community is included among the 64 listed towns and to review the exact eligibility conditions.
